The key to continuous gas sampling, especially when that sample used is a control or verifcation variable of the carbon potential control system, is maintaining clean and dry tubing, pumps, filters, and sensors.
The SSi sample tube contains an inner ceramic tube so that methane, propane (or any other hydrocarbon) does not catalyse in the tube. This can affect accuracy of samples and create soot blockages. The outer tube is RA330 alloy which will last up to 5 years in pit, sealed quench, and continuous furnaces. We have desgined three models for various applications.
